The world is changing rapidly. Prevailing thought, unfortunately, has failed to outpace, much less catch up with, these extraordinary global transitions. Why? For one, those who have positioned themselves at the forefront of response-focused approaches have lost the race before they started it – in order to be ahead, one has to drive change, not follow it.

International Perspectives, realizing the necessity of systemic forecasting today to shape the world of tomorrow, has launched an innovative, collaborative research and analysis program to help leaders gain perspective on what lies ahead and develop adequate plans as a result.

The What If Security Series provides a forum for the discussion and analysis of future scenarios and how, upon taking place, they will affect the structure of our contemporary society and yet are not being looked at from a holistic, pragmatic approach. Often, such questions seem too big or complex and present some perceived distant future; as a result, they are easily cast aside leaving many vulnerable to and ignorant of what challenges are in store. International Perspectives, however, understands that to be a true world leader, every possibility must be entertained and weighted against what is the most sensible development. Amid an unlimited array of possibilities in the development of humankind, scenarios that are probable to occur must be analysed carefully.  In so doing scenarios that offer a harmonious evolution will be crystallized so that the world of tomorrow takes a slightly different shape -- for the better.
