What if there is a systemic collapse?
Considering the possibility of a systemic collapse, we ask the question how could a community survive or continue to enjoy current levels of quality of life following a systemic collapse?
Scenario Parameters:
A community, in this sense, means the minimum size in terms of land area and population needed to sustain a group at similar currently enjoyed levels of quality of life, (e.g. life expectancy, a common source for power and communications etc.) It is likely that this could roughly be the size of a North American township.
Systemic Collapse means that the entire system of government, trade, health care and public works (electricity, communications and water) have been disrupted indefinitely and at least on a national or continental basis. The Systemic Collapse is such that communities have found themselves completely isolated from each other and the world.
